Tscherning A/S

The construction and demolition company Tscherning has a high corporate social responsibility profile. The means used include triple certification and a constant focus on consistent communication. The employees play an important role as ambassadors promoting the company's values.

Tscherning has 170 employees and engages in demolition and environmental clean-ups, including soil, drains, concrete, etc. Tscherning has an integrated management system that is certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. This ensures that the company complies with all requirements embodied in the three certifications in a single work process and that health and safety is always incorporated in the company's job solutions.

Running a business is about more than just money

For Tscherning, it has always been important to adopt a more holistic approach to the operation of the business than merely wanting to earn as much money as possible. Tscherning's fundamental approach is simple: we have to be good to each other. The company therefore also places considerable emphasis on safety, environment and health and safety. As an example, all machines run on environmental diesel and are equipped with particle filters, and heavy physical jobs are carried out by demolition robots. Tscherning also has a comprehensive accident and spill preparedness system, and all employees regularly receive training in health and safety in order to reduce the number of accidents.

CSR creates a team spirit

Tscherning wants the surrounding world to associate the company with corporate social responsibility and therefore places considerable emphasis on ensuring consistent communication. In its tender documents and on its website, the company draws attention to its many environmental certifications, but the employees must also be able to tell the customers about the company's CSR work.

The employees are trained in the company's values at meetings and courses, and the internal communication often uses illustrations, posters and films to make it easier to quickly grasp the content or instructions. This approach helps create a good team spirit, which in turn contributes to maintaining a good reputation.
